Is it permissible to take donations from non Muslims for the construction and maintenance work of Masjid?

While accepting donations from non Muslims, if there is no threat of him having any wrong intentions or taking advantage of Muslims later, then in such a case, it is permissible. However, it is better not to accept such donations.
