*TO GIVE PRESENTS TO HAFIZIN AT KHATME TARAWEEH*

What is the ruling regarding giving presents/gifts to hafiz at the end of Khatme Quran? There was no prior notice of doing so given by Hafiz sahab.

In the name of presents, whatever is given to people involved in organising taraweeh, even out of happiness, is not allowed. It is mentioned in fiqah qaidah (alma'arouf kalmashrout) anything which has been made a tradition, without any prior decision, giving and taking of such presents in accordance with qatee -Quran is Haraam.

In accordance with Quran aayah, surah e baqara ayat 41,

"Wala tashtaru biayaati samanan qaleela..

Translation - "Do not sell my aayah for perty price"

However, it is required to give required amount  (payment) to Imaam of taraweeh.

Certain things even when not allowed, however ziman meaning making it taabae of something allowed, making it permissible.
