1. Is it compulsory to be fasting for Aetekaf?

2. Can they exit mosque under certain conditions?

3. How to make intention  (niyyah)?

4. If Aetekaf breaks, will it has to be done later (qaza)?

5. And is it necessary to put curtains (isolation)?

6. If there is no food arrangements, can he go outside home/hotel for it?

🔵 Answer 🔵

1. It is compulsory to fast during Aetekaf. God forbid, if the fast break, Aetikaf madnoon will also break.

2. Under no conditions can a person exit mosque. However, if he goes outside for washroom, and inquire about someone's health walking alongside,it can be done.

3. Aetekaf is masnoon during the last 10 days of Ramadan, however it is mustahab to make intention of Aetekaf whenever entering Masjid, no matter for what duration.
It is better to make intention in your heart, saying by tongue is best.

Muatakif can sit for Aetekaf anywhere in Masjid.

4. It is not necessary to put curtains during Aetekaf.

5. Breaking aetekaf without any genuine reason will shield him from great rewards.

- Daily Aetekaf is a Mustaqbil ibaadat. Thr day Aetekaf breaks, qaza has to be done only for that day. Majority of akaabir are of this opinion

6. If there is no one to deliver food for Muatakif, he can after sunset, visit home/hotel as eating is included in tabee zaroorat (necessity).
