*SALUTE THE NATIONAL FLAG*
⭕Today's Question no. 1102⭕
Is it permissible to salute and bow your head to the hoisted national Flag on 15th of August (Independence Day) and 26th Jan (Republic day) ?

It is permissible to hoist and salute the national Flag, It is practice of Community and army, and people of knowledge had approved for it. However, any other type of gestures, such as joining hands or bowing head is not permissible according to Islam. In fact, it is not allowed anytime for anything.
According to Hazeat Mufti Kifayatullah Sahab Rahmatullahi alayhi, "It is permissible to salute the national flag, it is practiced in Islamic nations too". It is allowed to stand in attention and pay respect to the hoisting of national flag and declaring it as wrong deed (mushrikanah) is not right.
