*Ruling regarding Supplications on Shab-e-Meraj*
⭕Today's Question no. 991⭕
Why is it bid'aah for supplications and praying in Shab-e-Meraj? Why not pray instead of sleeping?
🔵Answer🔵
Utmost Foolishness
After leaving the worldly life by Prophet Muhammed sallahu alayhi wasallam, the Sahaba Ikram Razi Allahu anhum were present upto 100 years. In this complete century, not even one incident was reported of the Sahaba giving any special importance to 27 of Rajab. Any practice which is not followed by Prophet Muhammed sallahu alayhi wasallam and his Sahaba, addition of it to deen or declaring it as Sunnah is Bid'aah. If someone says that so what if the Sahaba didn't pray, I will is considered utmost foolishness.
Banye Se sayana so baula
My father, Hazrat Mufti Muhammed Shafi Sahib Qaddasallahu Sirrahu has said that there is a saying or example in Urdu which is very famous in India. It goes like 'BANYE SE SAYANA SO BAULA' It means that if a person says that he is more intelligent then a 'Banya' in matter of business, in reality that person in 'baaula' ie foolish. This is because in reality 'Banya' are famous for their business ventures and it is common knowledge.
Who has more knowledge other than the Sahaba
As far as the knowledge of deen is considered, the Sahaba Ikram Razi Allahu anhum, Tabaeen and Tabe Tabaeen are the most knowledgeable and practicing. If a person claims that he is greater knowledgeable and wants to practice more, in reality that person is ignorant.
Supplications in this night is Bid'aah
Therefore, special prayers and supplications during this night in bid'aah. It is very much better to spend every night in prayers, Offering prayers during any regular night and 27th is the same and should be considered so.
