*RULING REGARDING FASTING ON 27 OF RAJAB*

What is the ruling regarding fasting on 27 of Rajab? The benefits of it are well known and also mentioned in books.

Special fasting only on 27th of Rajab with the intention of its utmost importance or thinking it to be equal to 1000 fasts, or to consider it as sunnah mustahab such as fasting during aashirah is not permissible and giving it importance is Bid'aat.
Neither Prophet Muhammad sallalahu alaihi wasalam has been fasting with due importance, nor sahaba rd, nor tabieen, tabae tabieen and neither the four Imaams.

The Hadith related to it is in reference to raeesul muhaddiseen dewbandi and barelvi Hazrat is accepted by them Shah Abdul haq Muhaddise Dehlavi rahmatullahi in his book our month

Hazrat Umar radiallahu anhu, had made this tradition, that whoever fasting specially, was fed food and his fast was broken. And used to say what is this rajab, rajab?? Ahle jahiliyat used to follow it and after commencement of Islam, such tradition needs to be left behind.
