USE OF GELATIN

*USE OF GELATIN*

In foreign countries, there are certain varieties of yeast and gelatin which contains ingredients from pig/ pork. What is the ruling regarding using such a gelatin?

If the ingredients are from pig/pork, its matter and nature such as smell, stickiness etc is completely transformed, then in such a case its impurity will be completely destroyed then it can be used. However, if that is not the case, that is, the nature of the ingredients are not changed, it will be Haraam for consumption. (And the substance it is added will also be Haraam).
