All through my childhood and adolescence, I have been wearing hijab. My husband forces me to let go of my abaya and veil. Is it permissible to listen to my husband?

To shield is farz for women and is directed by Shariah, on husband's saying it is neither permitted to keep your face visible or giving up covering oneself. Explaining husband about the advantages of covering  (40 benefits of covering oneself) and even after this he forces, talaq should be taken, so that he can be free to marry woman who can flaunt her looks to others.

In such a situation, husband will also be greatly sinful.

1. Protection from males eyeing.

2. Staying away from wrong relationships.

3. Protection from sunrays.

4. From dirt and dust.

5. Protection from cold, winters.

6. Skin protection from harmful sunrays.

8. Protection from pollution.

9. From bad odours.

10. Protection from evil eye.

11. Sign of nobility.

12. Sign of respectful.

13. Protection from evils of society and safety.

16. It is a sign of purity.

17. It is a covering.

18. It is taqwa.

19. It is Imaan.

20. Protection from all kind of evils.

21. It is such a Shariah rule which is beneficial for both deen and duniya.

22. Protection of youth.

23. It is a source of clean heart and taharat.

24. It is a source of haya of women.

25. It safeguards from major and minor sins.

26. It is best amal (ibaadat) of women.

27. It is a source of nearness to Allah swt.

28. It is protection from shaitaan and his evil.

29. It is a clothing of taqwa, and explanation of haya.

30. It protects women from evil of fashion.

31. Protection from Haraam desires and a promise to jannah.

32. Protection from showing of clothing, jewellery.

33. Protection from jewellery being stolen.

34. Protection of inner dress from getting soiled.

35. Covered women compared to uncovered women  feels safe.

36. Protection from insects, mosquitoes bites.

37. If someone harasses because of hijab, rewarded due to sabr in such a situation.

38. It is a sign of being dedicated to deen.

39. It is a sunnah of azwaje mutaharrat of Prophet Muhammad sallalahu alaihi wasalam  (pure wives).

40. Her end (death) will be on Imaan.
