*TATTOO APPLICATION*

What is the ruling regarding getting a tattoo? What about temporary tatoo application where you apply a tattoo with a sticker and temporary you get a design tattoo on your skin?

It is not permissible to get a tattoo piercing ( heating surmah and adding ink and permanent tattoo application) is clearly not allowed and it is said to be writing of Shaitan.
However, if the tattoo is such that it is applied on the surface on not pierced into the skin, is regarded as imitating of the actual tattoo, and hence not permitted.
