If one is invited, what is the ruling of taking your brother or son as a guest along with you uninvited?

If the person inviting you is really close to you and wouldn't mind you taking your relatives along with you, and would be happy to have them, then there is no problem taking them along with you.
If the person is not someone very near to you, then without their prior permission it is not acceptable to bring extra people with you. According to to ahadees such a person is regarded as one who has been gone as a robber and returned as a thief.
